The drama in the Women's Premier League Mega Auction seems to have started. And it is not just related to the teams which have brought the players in the marquee list. It is related to the sole player who went unsold in the marquee list, shocking the fans all over the world.

Marquee List is known to be the one which no team would want to miss. But that has not been the case this time in the mega auction of the Women's Premier League. With a few players making it to this list, one of them has gone unsold in the first round of the auction. And it is none other than

Healy was a part of UP Warriorz in the Women's Premier League and even played in the recent edition of the Women's World Cup. Despite her performances being at her best, she has now gone unsold in the tournament. Fans await to see whether she will be coming back in the next rounds of the auction to find a new buyer or not.

1. Alyssa Healy in WPL

Alyssa Healy has been a part of the Women's Premier League since its inaugural edition. But her appearances in the tournament have been affected due to the injuries. It should be noted that Healy did not play even a single game for her team in the previous edition of the tournament, which became the reason behind her being released.

Alyssa Healy in WPL:

  • Innings: 17
  • Not Out: 1
  • Runs: 428
  • Average: 26.75
  • Strike Rate: 130.48
  • 50s: 3

When she started off by playing in the first edition of the tournament, her performances were promising. In her first ever edition of the Women's Premier League, she was able to bring two half-centuries for the team in just 9 games. This eventually led to Healy by the team for the next season.

But her happiness and consistency in the Women's Premier League turned out to be short lived. In the very next season, she ended up having a fall in her performances. Healy was able to score runs at an average of just 21.87 over the eight games she played and registered just one half-century. Moreover, her also went below 120, as her form deteriorated.

It should also be noted that Alyssa Healy was also the captain of UP Warriorz for the first two seasons of the tournament. Her participation in the 2025 edition was cancelled, as Healy pulled her off the tournament. She suffered with a recurring foot injury due to which she was not a part of the team

Eventually, UP Warriorz were still not able to get their hands on the WPL trophy and even the finals. The team decided to go through a major revamp with the help of the mega auction. Due to this reason, they ended up releasing Alyssa Healy in the mega auction, who in turn didn't find any new potential buyers in the first round of the same.

2. Healy in Women's World Cup

Alyssa Healy has been one of the most successful international captains in the history of the game. She also led Australia in the Women's World Cup which was hosted in India. With the team entering as the defending champions, Healy went on to continue the task to win the World Cup. She even helped Australia to finish after the league stages.

But in the semi-final stages, the team lost to India, missing out on the final. That game also turned out to be historic, as Healy was not able to defend a target above 300 against the Indian team. Even with her team not finishing well in the standings, Healy ensured that were countable.

She played just five games for Australia in the entire tournament, including four games in the league stages and one in the semi-final stages. In these games, she was able to score 299 runs for the team at an average of 74.75, with two centuries. Her knocks were able to propel Australia to reach the semi-finals, but not the finals.
