IND vs SA | Twitter reacts as Pant tears into careless Kuldeep for abandoning gameplan time and again

Spending nearly 150 overs in the field after being asked to bowl first is the worst nightmare for a Test captain, including Rishabh Pant. The stand-in found himself frustrated in Guwahati with South Africa dominating, and Kuldeep Yadav received the brunt of it for failing to follow simple rules.

South Africa ripped apart India's aspirations of folding up their proceedings early on Day 2 at the Baraspara Stadium as Senuran Muthusamy struck a marathon ton to take the visitors firmly into the ascendancy. Big partnerships with Kyle Verreyne and Marco Jansen helped the all-rounder take Proteas past 400 with relative ease, barely offering the hosts any glimpses during his maiden triple figure knock in Test cricket. Even when Verreyne fell slightly short of a half-century midway through the second session, the Proteas seized momentum with Jansen counterattacking his way to a half-century as the spinners looked out of options. No bowler looked more at sea than Kuldeep Yadav who conceded 38 in a five over spell before Lunch, but trouble had been brewing for him ever since he first came on to bowl on the day.
After a couple of overs each from his pace duo, Pant wasted little time in bringing Kuldeep on after the wrist-spinner had scalped three the previous evening. However, the left-arm wristy found himself against the current even before he bowled a ball, as Kuldeep took more than the allowed minute to begin the over which earned him a second such warning, with any additional breaches set to earn India a five-run penalty. Pant was livid about the carelessness as he chided his bowler for repeating the same mistaking from the pevious day, before stamping his authority by saying he could handle the fied as long as Kuldeep focused on his own duties. The hostility between the two resumed a couple of hours later when Jansen pumped Kuldeep for a gigantic maximum on the third ball of the 130th over. Pant remained unfettered and pleaded Kuldeep to keep bowling full but when the spinner dropped his length on the penultimate delivery, an agitated Pant addressed the same before asking Kuldeep to bowl flighted full deliveries once more. However, the spinner completely ignored the instructions as he went short againt and allowed Jansen an easy single, keeping him on strike.
Twitterati was dazed byt it al.

There is no fault of Rishabh Pant. He is stand-in captain. He is not involved in team selection.
