After a strong 2025 highlighted by U Mumba TT winning the Ultimate Table Tennis Season 6 title and the Pro Kabaddi League team securing consecutive playoff spots, the franchise now aims for chess glory. Led by Grandmaster Pentala Harikrishna, upGrad Mumba Masters enter Season 3 as a top contender.
In the year 2025, U Mumba strengthened its identity as one of India’s most dynamic multi-sport franchises by achieving major success across kabaddi, table tennis, and now aiming for chess glory on home turf. The franchise enjoyed a standout season as U Mumba TT claimed the Ultimate Table Tennis Season 6 title, while the Pro Kabaddi League unit secured consecutive playoff qualifications.
Off the field, the organisation expanded its commercial base with 9 major sponsors, including Valvoline, ROFF from Pidilite, and Aditya Birla Capital, along with strong associate partners such as AGL Tiles, Max Protein, Flamingo, Prayag, Sunora, Enerzal, and Golds Gym. The chess wing, upGrad Mumba Masters, enters Season 3 of the Global Chess League with strong momentum after finishing runners up in Season 1 and placing inside the top 6 in Season 2.
