Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the defending champions of IPL 2026 are having a good time now. All of their players are able to give their very best across the different formats of the game. But no one has been able to match the level of preparations which by Tim David.

The Australian batsman went on a rampage mode in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. Playing in the shortest format of the game, David was able to unleash his inner beast, and send chilling waves to the other IPL teams. His performances might also have relieved the RCB camp, as he has been a prolific finisher for them.

1. David in Abu Dhabi T10 League

Tim David was at his absolute best in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. He showed levels to the other bowlers, and also prepared a statement of intent to the other teams in the IPL. Despite being a finisher, David was able to win for his team in the tournament.

Tim David was a part of UAE Bulls in the tournament. And he went absolutely berserk in every match where he got an opportunity to bat for the team. This allowed David to finish of the tournament with 393 runs in 9 innings at an average of 65.50, with three half-centuries.

It should be noted that Tim David was able to maintain his strike rate at 263.75, as he smashed 26 fours and 38 sizes. UAE Bulls had reached the Qualifier 2 of the tournament, when David decided it was his time to shine. Chasing the target of 105 runs, David went on to score 57 runs off just 18 balls to help his team reach the finals. He did this when his RCB teammate, Romario Shepherd stood

Later in the final match, Tim David was able to unleash his beast once again. It can be said that UAE Bulls almost had the entire strong RCB batsmen line-up with them. The team had Phil Salt to open, with Tim David and Romario Shepherd

In the finals, the team was able to score 150 runs in 10 overs with the loss of one wicket. Tim David alone was able to score 98 runs for the team in 30 balls with 3 fours and 12 sixes. With Bulls winning the final match, Tim David received the Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament award both.

2. David in IPL 2025

Tim David was released by Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2025 edition. Taking a look at this opportunity, Royal Challengers Bengaluru got him in the mega auction for just 3 crore. It seemed to be a steal deal for the team, but it was also a significant drop in his IPL salary. Still, David made sure that he gave his best for every team in which he played.

Tim David scored a half-century in the league stages match against Punjab Kings. When all the other batsmen of Royal Challengers Bengaluru struggled, David went on to score 50 runs off just 26 balls. This was his best knock in the tournament, as he also received the POTM award despite being on the losing side.
