As the season nears its end Bernardo Silva looks set to become a major free agent with his Manchester City contract expiring next summer. AC Milan and Juventus have already made contact while Saudi clubs are also interested. The thirty one year old has won six Premier League titles, one Champions League, two FA Cups and four EFL Cups but is considering a new challenge after nine years.
In the latest update on Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva the thirty one year old has finally opened the door to a possible exit at the end of the season. Out of contract in the summer he is now being pursued strongly by AC Milan and Juventus with reports from Calciomercato claiming both clubs have already made contact in recent weeks. Despite significant interest from Saudi Arabia Silva has hinted that he prefers to stay in Europe at the top level.
His time at City has been hugely successful, collecting six Premier League titles, one Champions League, two FA Cups and four EFL Cups across nine seasons. He remains a central figure this campaign featuring in all twelve Premier League matches. Silva stated that he wants to finish the season strongly, possibly win more trophies and then assess his future after representing Portugal at the summer World Cup.
While PSG and Barcelona made previous attempts to sign him he chose to remain in Manchester earlier. Now however with his contract expiring Italy appears his most likely destination though no final decision has been made. His potential Serie A switch could follow the path of Kevin De Bruyne whose move to Napoli came under similar circumstances.
