Arjun Tendulkar has made his mark in T20 cricket with his bowling performances. And this all started when Tendulkar was involved in the IPL trade window. He was a part of Mumbai Indians for a long time but didn't receive to play for the team in the Indian Premier League.

Due to this reason, he was traded to Lucknow Super Giants, who saw the potential in him. While it was a trade for just 30 lakhs, still it has acquired a lot of attention. But now, Arjun Tendulkar has given a statement to the critics following his performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. With this, he has also given a positive message to Lucknow Super Giants, that they have been involved in a great deal this time.

1. Arjun Tendulkar in IPL

Arjun Tendulkar has been a part of Mumbai Indians since the start of his IPL career. But now, he will be playing for Lucknow Super Giants in the upcoming IPL season. For the very first time, it may also happen that Tendulkar might get consistent opportunities to play in the tournament.

He played his debut IPL match back in 2023, and since then, he has played just 5 games for the team. Out of these, four games were played by Arjun Tendulkar during the IPL 2023 edition. He just played one game in IPL 2024, and didn't get a single game to play for the team in the recently concluded IPL edition.

2. Trade Deal

In the IPL Trade Window, Arjun Tendulkar was involved in a trade deal. While fans were waiting for the trade involving Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, and a lot more, there was something else happening in the camp of Lucknow Super Giants. The team had been in active talks with Mumbai Indians to get Arjun Tendulkar

And this was made possible with an all cash deal, as Arjun Tendulkar was traded to Lucknow Super Giants. For the first time in his IPL career, Tendulkar will be playing for a franchise other than Mumbai Indians. Although Mumbai had a strong bowling line-up which prevented Tendulkar from receiving consistent chances, he could get chances when he will play for Lucknow Super Giants.

3. Resurgence in SMAT

In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, every player is able to give their best. And this list not just includes players such as Devdutt Padikkal, Sarfaraz Khan, Abhishek Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and a lot more. This also includes the name of Arjun Tendulkar, who has started to showcase some in the tournament lately.

In the match between Goa and Chandigarh, Arjun Tendulkar was able to contribute with both bat and ball. He went on to score 14 runs off 9 balls and even took 3 wickets for the team being their primary bowler. Tendulkar took the wickets of Arjun Azad, Shivam Bhambri, and Jagjit Singh, which helped Goa in this game by 52 runs.

And he has done well yet again for the team in the match against Madhya Pradesh. Bowling first, Arjun Tendulkar once again took 3 wickets in the game, as he put Madhya Pradesh in a challenging position in the start by dismissing both the openers. He also took the catch of MP Captain Rajat Patidar, and Venkatesh Iyer to make his mark in the game.

This helped Goa to win the match against Madhya Pradesh while chasing the target which had been set by them. Although Arjun Tendulkar has not received any Player of the Match award for his performances, he has been the silent contributor for the team in the tournament.
