Alejandro Garnacho is set to leave Manchester United after being placed in Ruben Amorim’s squad. Chelsea have stepped up talks, with personal terms agreed and a fee under negotiation. United, initially demanding £70m, may now accept around £50m. Despite interest from Italy, Germany, Saudi clubs and Napoli, the 21-year-old only wants Chelsea.

After the Europa League final defeat to Spurs and Manchester United’s disastrous 15th-place Premier League finish, Alejandro Garnacho’s future at Old Trafford has been thrown into doubt. The 21-year-old winger was told by manager Ruben Amorim to find a new club and placed in the so-called "bomb squad" alongside Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.

Despite having a contract until 2028, Garnacho has made it clear he wants a move, rejecting interest from Italy, Germany, Saudi Arabia and other Premier League sides to focus on joining Chelsea. United initially valued the Argentine at around £70 million but have since dropped their demands to approximately £50 million, with reports suggesting they might even accept close to £40 million. Chelsea have held direct talks with United, with Fabrizio Romano claiming personal terms are already agreed and the deal could soon be completed.

Names like Tyrique George and Andrey Santos were briefly discussed in negotiations but will not be part of the transfer. Chelsea may need to offload players like Nicolas Jackson or Christopher Nkunku to make space, yet Garnacho remains optimistic about sealing his move to Stamford Bridge this summer, determined to revive his career away from Old Trafford.
