After the end of his loan spell at Porto, Tiago Djalo has found himself surplus to requirements at Juventus once again, with reports suggesting Besiktas are ready to offer him a way out this summer. The Portuguese defender, now 25, joined Juventus from Lille in January 2024 for €3.5 million, beating Inter to his signature as his contract in France was nearing expiry.

At the time of his arrival, Djalo was recovering from a serious ACL injury, which delayed his debut until the final match of the 2023-24 season against Monza under caretaker coach Paolo Montero. Unfortunately, that one appearance remains his only outing in a Juventus shirt. Last season, Djalo was sent on loan to Porto, but his time back in Portugal was far from successful as disciplinary problems overshadowed his performances.

Returning to Turin this summer, new coach Igor Tudor has made it clear that Djalo does not fit into his plans. Juventus are therefore open to selling him and have set an asking price of €5 million, which would secure them a modest capital gain while avoiding losing him for free when his contract expires in 2026. Besiktas, managed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, have already made contact as they continue strengthening their squad.
