Manchester United are considering activating Harry Kane’s £56m release clause at Bayern Munich next summer. The clause, valid only in 2026, offers a chance to bring the prolific striker back to the Premier League. Tottenham and Barcelona are also interested, while United see Kane as a proven scorer to complement Benjamin Sesko and boost Champions League ambitions.

For the summer of 2026, Manchester United are strongly considering a £56 million move for Harry Kane, with the striker’s release clause at Bayern Munich set to become active. United have monitored Kane for years and view next year as an ideal time to secure a proven Premier League goalscorer. Manager Ruben Amorim addressed his immediate striker needs this summer by signing Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, after Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles last season.

Sesko, who netted 13 Bundesliga goals last term, offers promise but is not yet seen as a prolific finisher. United’s plan is to use their current squad to secure Champions League qualification this season before adding Kane to elevate their competitiveness in the medium term. The 32-year-old remains in demand, with Tottenham and Barcelona also interested, while Kane himself may be tempted to return to England to chase Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League scoring record.

Since joining Bayern, Kane has delivered two prolific campaigns, but the prospect of leading United’s attack and mentoring young forwards like Sesko, could prove attractive. With multiple clubs eyeing his clause, next summer’s transfer window could see a battle for the £56 million-rated forward, as Manchester United weigh their move for one of the game’s elite finishers.
