Serie A giants Napoli have repeatedly turned down offers from other clubs, who are looking to sign midfielder Fabian Ruiz. It is also reported that the talks with Ruiz's representatives are in an advanced stage as Napoli are eager to keep the player, despite interest from Real Madrid.

Fabian Ruizz has excelled in the Napoli jersey ever since he was signed for €30m from Real Betis last summer. Calciomercato reports that Napoli are now in talks with the player’s agent as the club looks to extend the 23-year old’s current contract, which expires in June 2023. His impressive performances are attracting interest from clubs all over Europe, especially Real Madrid, but manager Carlo Ancelotti intends to keep the midfielder at the Stadio San Paolo.

The contract extension will see Ruiz’s wages increase to £3m-per-year, while no release clause has been included in the contract. Napoli have already rejected a £40milion offer from La Liga giants Real Madrid while talks regarding the contract extension continue between Napoli and Ruiz’s representatives.

Ruiz was named Player of the Tournament for the European Under-21 Championships during the summer, and he has also earned three caps for the Spanish National team so far.
