Smriti Mandhanas Marriage Plans Hit Unexpected Roadblock

Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s wedding has now been postponed. Despite all the preparations and other ceremonies being done, it has been hit by an unexpected roadblock. The future dates of their marriage is yet to be decided.

Yesterday, Smriti Mandhana's father was hospitalized due to health issues. Mandhana revealed that she won't be marrying Muchhal without her dad, which led to the marriage being postponed. Now, her fiance, Palash Muchhal, has also been hospitalized due to his health issues, creating more worries.

1. Smriti Mandhana's Father's Health Issues

All the ceremonies for Smriti Mandhana's wedding with Palash Muchhal had been completed. Now, it was time for the final ritual of Pheras, which was scheduled to take place on 23 November. But on Sunday, Smriti Mandhana's father suddenly taking note of the seriousness of this issue.

Palash Muchhal's mother, , “Ek din phele unhone bahut dance kiya. Woh bahut zyada khush the… Instagram pe Stories dal rahe the. Uske baad jab hum baraat ki planning kar rahe the, unko takleef hui. Phele toh unhone bataya nahi but jab badne lagi, ambulance bulai (A day earlier, he had been dancing a lot. He was extremely happy, even posting Stories on Instagram. But later, while we were planning the baraat procession, he started feeling discomfort. At first, he didn’t say anything, but when it worsened, we called an ambulance).”

Shrinivas Mandhana was hospitalised at Sarvhit Hospital and Medical Research Centre in Sangli. The doctor who attended him later revealed that his health showed signs of a heart attack, but he is now doing better. Doctor Naman Shah revealed that this might have happened of the wedding.

Amita Muchhal also said,“Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hai aur upset hai (They are undergoing a tough time) … Palash dreamt of coming back home with his bride Smriti, and it couldn't happen. I planned a special welcome for Smriti and cancelled all the functions which were planned for today (November 24) now.”

2. Palash Muchhal's Health Deteriorated

Following the health issues being faced by Shrinivas Mandhana, another problem followed. And this time, Smriti’s fiance, Palash Muchhal got affected with the health issues. He was also admitted in a hospital in Sangli, and he over the past few days.

Palash Muchhal's mother said,“Palash ko uncle se bahut zyada attachment hai… Smriti se zyada yeh dono close hain. Jab unko hogaya toh Smriti se phele Palash ne decision liya ke usko abhi phere nahi karne jab tak uncle thik nahi ho jaate (Palash is extremely attached to Smriti’s father… The two of them are even closer than Smriti is with him. When he fell ill, it was Palash, before Smriti, who decided that they should not go ahead with the wedding rituals until he gets better).”

Following this, she , “Since haldi was done, we didn’t let him go outside. Rote rote ek dum tabiyat karab ho gai. 4 ghante hospital mein rakhna padha. IV drip chadi, ECG hua aur dosre tests hoye. Sab normal aaye but stress bahut hai (He cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated. They kept him in the hospital for four hours. He was given an IV drip, an ECG was done, and other tests were carried out. Everything came back normal, but he is under a lot of stress).”

She also revealed that due to the issues being faced by both the families, it has been decided to postpone the wedding. Amita Muchhal also said that the health issues and sudden shocking moments have taken over both the families emotionally.

3. The Proposal

Smriti Mandhana had received the best proposal any cricketer could have got in the history of the game. A few days ago, Palash Muchhal proposed to Smriti Mandhana and posted a wholesome video of the same on his Instagram account. He did this at the Dr DY Patil Stadium, which is the same place where Smriti

He had blindfolded Smriti Mandhana, and took her to the center of the pitch. Following this, he took off her blindfold and went on his knees to propose Smriti Mandhana for the wedding. She accepted, and both of them revealed that they will be getting married on 23 November.
