With Jaiswal being announced in the team for the first Test against South Africa, it adds another venue to the list. This also puts Jaiswal with 27 Test matches at 27 different venues, in the list of consecutive games at different grounds. For those who don't know, Jaiswal is competing with Sanjay Manjrekar in this record, who has played 33 consecutive Tests at different venues.
Yashasvi Jaiswal's test career has been nothing short of a blockbuster for the fans. Whether he is going against experienced pacers such as James Anderson, or against the debutants, he is able to smash them all for boundaries. This is also the reason why he is the highest ranked Test batsman for India in the ICC Test rankings.

Jaiswal currently stands at the 5th spot in the same, and is eager to get to the top. He shares this list with other top test batsmen such as Joe Root, Steven Smith, Kane Williamson, and a few more. Despite having less experience than them, his inclusion in this list shows how valuable Jaiswal has been to the Indian team.
He made his Test debut for the Indian team against the West Indies. This match was being played at Roseau, and it also started the fate of Jaiswal playing for the team at different venues. In his debut game, he went on to score 171 runs for the team, making a statement of intent. This also helped Jaiswal to cement his place in the Indian team.
After playing in the West Indies, his tour of South Africa did not go well. But Jaiswal marked his return with a bang, in the England tour of India 2024. In this series only, he was able to bring up two double-centuries for the team, with three half-centuries.
Further breakthroughs in his career came during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25 and Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. In the BGT, Jaiswal scored a century and two half-centuries for the team. Later in the India tour of England, he was able to bring up two centuries and two half-centuries.
The record for playing the most consecutive Test matches at different venues is held by Sanjay Manjrekar. The former Indian cricketer had played 33 consecutive Test games for the team at different venues. With Manjrekar being retired for a long time, Jaiswal could take his time to break his record and have it to his name.

Sanjay Manjrekar had a short Test career which lasted for just 37 games. Still, he made sure to give the maximum impact to the team in the number of games he had played. It should be noted that out of 37 games he played, 33 consecutive matches were at different venues which helped him to get the record to his name.
What's more familiar between Manjrekar and Jaiswal is their debut game. Just like Jaiswal, Manjrekar also made his debut for India against the West Indies. Playing his first Test match for the team, he was not able to perform well. Manjrekar scored 5 runs in the first innings, and 10 runs in the second innings before being retired hurt.

However, he brought up his form against the West Indies only. Two years after his debut, he was a part of the Indian team in the tour of West Indies. In the second match of the series, Manjrekar brought his maiden ton, scoring 108 runs off 221 balls. This knock came at a time when India stood at the score of 27/3.
He continued to dominate for the Indian team for almost a decade. Coming to bat in the middle order, he was able to provide some valuable contributions to the team in this format. He played his last Test match against South Africa in 1996, and eventually got retired across all formats of the game within the next few months.
