As the 2024/25 Premier League season nears its end, just three points separate clubs ranked 3rd to 7th, with five teams vying for three remaining Champions League spots. Brighton lead Brentford in the race for 8th, which could also secure European football depending on Chelsea’s Conference League result. A record 10 English clubs could qualify for Europe.

When the Premier League 2024/25 season nears its end, the battle for European qualification remains intense. While the top seven clubs are guaranteed European football next season, only the top five will secure UEFA Champions League spots, thanks to England's high UEFA coefficient ranking. Arsenal and Liverpool have already secured top-five finishes, while three spots remain open among Manchester City, Newcastle, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest — with only three points separating third to seventh place.

Crystal Palace's FA Cup win secures them a Europa League berth. Additionally, Chelsea could significantly influence the European qualification picture if they win the UEFA Conference League final against Real Betis on 28 May. Depending on their final league position, this could open the door for the eighth-placed team — either Brighton or Brentford — to enter Europe.

If Chelsea win the Conference League and finish sixth or seventh, and Newcastle also finish in the top seven, the eighth-placed team would qualify for the Conference League. Brighton currently lead Brentford by three points, needing just a draw against Spurs to clinch eighth. Brentford must beat Wolves and hope Brighton lose. In an extraordinary scenario, up to 10 Premier League teams could feature in European competitions next season.
