Arne Slot is preparing for a summer overhaul, with up to seven players including Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, and Caoimhin Kelleher potentially exiting. Liverpool are eyeing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško, with a $113M plan in place. The club is also pursuing Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz as part of the rebuild.
After the dip in form following their title-clinching win over Tottenham, Liverpool and new head coach Arne Slot are already shifting focus to the summer transfer window. With just one point earned from the final three Premier League games, attention has turned to strengthening the squad and addressing potential departures.
Liverpool are reportedly eyeing key signings, including Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, while talks have also taken place with representatives of Milos Kerkez. A new striker remains a priority, with RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško being considered. However, Newcastle’s Alexander Isak is viewed as the most desirable target, though his high price tag could prove a stumbling block.
In terms of exits, David Ornstein has reported that up to seven players could leave. These include Darwin Núñez, Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliott, and goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. There’s also uncertainty around Luis Díaz, Ibrahima Konaté, who is entering the final year of his contract and Kostas Tsimikas. Joe Gomez, Wataru Endō, and Diogo Jota have also been linked with potential moves.
Should Núñez or Jota depart, Slot will be short of No. 9 options, an area where reinforcements appear crucial. Liverpool’s transfer activity suggests a significant squad overhaul under the new manager.
