Pro Kabaddi League crossed 1 million YouTube subscribers in 2025 after growing from 326000 subscribers in 2020. The league became the second Indian sports league to achieve this mark. The rise came through consistent storytelling, data-backed content, and smart repurposing of match footage by Sportz Interactive, helping PKL build a strong year-round digital community.

Getting the spotlight firmly on kabaddi, the Pro Kabaddi League marked a major digital milestone after the conclusion of its 12th season. Dabang Delhi won the season by defeating Puneri Paltan on 31 October, securing their third title. Soon after, PKL earned the YouTube Golden Play Button for crossing one million subscribers, becoming only the second Indian sports league to achieve this feat.

This growth highlights the league’s impressive digital rise, climbing from 326000 subscribers in 2020 to over one million in 2025. The achievement was driven by a long term partnership between Mashal Sports, Jio Star, and Sportz Interactive. Their strategy focused on repurposing match footage into engaging highlights, producing original behind-the-scenes content, and maintaining consistent thumbnails and publishing schedules to improve discoverability.

Senior Vice President Chintan Shah noted that the Golden Play Button represents more than just numbers, reflecting the strength of strategic storytelling, data driven planning, and an active fan community that continues to fuel PKL’s growing digital impact.
