Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus, nearing recovery from a cruciate ligament injury suffered in January, has expressed interest in rejoining Palmeiras later in his career. The 28-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 for £45m and scored 26 goals in 96 matches, remains committed to the club until his contract ends in 2027.

As the Premier League season progresses, Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has hinted at a possible future return to his boyhood club Palmeiras in Brazil, though he remains committed to the Gunners for now. The 28-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 for £45 million, is recovering from an interior cruciate ligament injury sustained against Manchester United in January.

During his time in North London, Jesus has netted 26 goals in 96 appearances, but persistent injuries have disrupted his progress. Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Jesus reaffirmed his loyalty to Arsenal, emphasizing that both the club and manager remain eager for his return. He confirmed his contract runs until 2027 and stated that he intends to stay until then. However, he admitted that returning to Palmeiras is something he would consider later in his career, describing it as a natural desire for someone who began their journey there.

Ahead of his comeback, Jesus expressed optimism about his recovery, calling it the biggest injury of his life but noting that his knee is responding well. When he returns, he will find a transformed Arsenal squad following the club’s £255 million summer spending spree on players like Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, and Martin Zubimendi.
