Liverpool have secured the Premier League title while Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich face relegation. Arsenal are comfortably placed in second. The focus now shifts to the race for European competition as teams like Newcastle, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Manchester United continue to battle for remaining Champions League and Europa League qualification spots.

Just like the Premier League title race was wrapped up early with Liverpool crowned champions, the focus has now shifted to the battle for European qualification spots as the 2024–25 season nears its conclusion. Liverpool’s dominant run under Arne Slot has left teams like Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Manchester City fighting for second place and Champions League qualification.

Arsenal, sitting second, are almost guaranteed a top-four finish unless a major collapse happens. Manager Mikel Arteta may rest key players against Bournemouth, keeping his eyes on the Champions League semifinal second leg against PSG. Newcastle have surged to third after winning four of their last five, with Alexander Isak in top form. They face Brighton, whose hopes of European qualification are fading.

Manchester City are picking up momentum just in time. Having secured an FA Cup final spot, they welcome back Rodri from injury ahead of their clash with red-hot Wolves, who are riding a five-game winning streak.

Chelsea, currently fifth, must win their remaining matches to secure a Champions League spot. Aston Villa and Manchester United are also in contention, while mid-table teams like West Ham and Everton aim to finish strong. Meanwhile, Southampton, Leicester, and Ipswich are confirmed for relegation, with Southampton just one point away from equaling the worst-ever Premier League tally.
