As the summer transfer window progresses, Chelsea are edging closer to completing their eighth major outgoing of the window, with 19-year-old defender Ishe Samuels-Smith set to join sister club Strasbourg on a permanent deal. Initially expected to go out on loan, the former Everton youth product signed by Chelsea for £4 million is now finalising personal terms with the French side.

His departure will push Chelsea’s total sales this summer past £160 million, excluding add-ons. Other confirmed exits include Noni Madueke (£52 million), Djordje Petrovic (£25 million), Mathis Amougou (£12.5 million), Bashir Humphreys (£12 million), Kepa Arrizabalaga (£5 million), and Marcus Bettinelli (£2 million). Joao Felix’s anticipated £43.7 million move to Al-Nassr could also soon be finalised.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are actively working on signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig and Jorrel Hato from Ajax. Both players have agreed on personal terms, and the Blues are now negotiating transfer fees with their respective clubs. Enzo Maresca's side is confident of concluding both deals soon as they continue to reshape the squad for the upcoming season, having already lifted the FIFA Club World Cup.
