According to the reports, there are a total of 1355 players who have registered themselves for the auction. But it should also be noted that out of these, only 77 players will be able to get their names for the next season. This means it is going to be a big heartbreak for the majority of the players as they prepare to watch the IPL auction.
After the IPL retentions were announced, the window for players to register themselves for the auction was opened. And this time, a total of 1355 players have registered themselves for the mini auction. And fans will be shocked to know that in this list, there are too, who will be heading into the same.
Along with that, there are a total of 293 overseas players also who have registered themselves for the auction. These include the majority of the players from countries such as England, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. Kolkata Knight Riders will be heading to the same with the highest budget, as the team holds a 64.30 crore purse while heading to the auction. They will be having a great battle with Chennai Super Kings in the auction, as CSK also holds a purse of 43.40 crore. It should also be noted that a massive total of 173 players were retained by their respective teams ahead of the IPL auction.
This time, there are a total of 45 players who have registered themselves with a base price of 2 crore rupees. It means that fans will be able to see some intense battles at the auction table, which will help them to know how the next season has been shaped.
