There are moments in a game that are filled with absolute humour, leaving both teams in fits of laughter. A similar scene unfolded in the final T20I between Australia and Pakistan, where Abbas Afridi’s no-ball handed Australia the win, sending waves of laughter across the ground.

‌Aaron Hardie’s three-wicket haul was crucial in restricting Pakistan to just 117 runs after Australia chose to bowl first at Hobart. Babar Azam’s 41 off 28 gave Pakistan some hope, but Australia’s chase was led by Marcus Stoinis, who smashed 61 off 27 to seal the win by seven wickets. A humorous moment occurred during Pakistan’s chase when, with just one run needed, Abbas Afridi bowled a no-ball.

After Stoinis’ onslaught, the equation was reduced to one run from 52 deliveries. Abbas, having just been hit for a six, was about to bowl the third delivery of the 12th over when the crowd began chanting. He delivered a waist-high full toss, which Stoinis hit towards deep square leg, where Sahibzada Farhan took an easy catch. Stoinis removed his helmet and began walking off, but the umpire signaled a no-ball. As Tim David shared a laugh with Stoinis, Abbas was unaware that just one run was needed and started his run-up again. Realizing his mistake, he quickly acknowledged the no-ball, and Pakistan had already lost. The funny incident quickly went viral on social media, with fans sharing a laugh at the anti-climactic finish.
