KL Rahul named India A skipper for second four-day match against England Lions

KL Rahul has been selected to lead the India A team for the second four-day game to be played against England Lions in Mysore from February 13. The Karnataka batsman was also a part of the one-day side which played against the Lions after his suspension was lifted by the BCCI after the controversy.

KL Rahul will take up the responsibility of being the captain against England Lions as India A will play the second four-day game against the touring ECB side from February 13 in his home state. Rahul’s Karnataka teammate Karun Nair has also been included in the side for the game along with the likes of AR Easwaran, Ankeet Bawne and Jalaj Saxena. KS Bharat will stand with the gloves behind the stumps after a decent Ranji season in 2018-19. 

“The All-India Senior Selection Committee has also picked the India A team for the second four-day game to be played against England Lions in Mysore from 13th February,” stated the BCCI press release.

Senior pacers like Shardul Thakur and Varun Aaron have also made it in the India A side along with young spinner Mayank Markande from Punjab.
