IPL 2019 | MS Dhoni makes batting so easy, says Dwayne Bravo after CSK skipper’s Chepauk masterclass

Dwayne Bravo was all praise for MS Dhoni’s blistering 75-run innings after Chennai Super Kings managed to dethrone Rajasthan Royals in the Chepauk face-off. Bravo stated that the CSK skipper made batting look ridiculously easy and revealed that he also tries to feed off from his insane energy level.

It was a classic MS Dhoni innings that had come on to define the final phase of his career. After a top-order collapse, Dhoni started in his usual fashion - stealing singles and couples here and there - before unleashing his vintage self to guide the hosts to a comfortable total of 175 runs. What was more impressive was the way he accelerated, almost in an unassuming fashion, and that played to the head of Rajasthan Royals.

By milking 24 and 28 runs off the last overs by Dhawal Kulkarni and Jaydev Unadkat, Dhoni disturbed the visitors' momentum and even though dew threatened to derail the Super Kings, they remained safe thanks to the intelligent use of Imran Tahir in the middle-overs. Bravo couldn’t contain himself but praise his skipper for keeping his composure.

“Feeding off his energy and he also encouraged me to be positive, that is important. I enjoy batting with him because he makes batting so easy. He puts the opposition under so much pressure,” Bravo said in a conversation with Sam Billings for IPLt20.com.

After a win in the last game, Chennai Super Kings will now take on Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday.
