Aiden Markram acknowledges his “special feeling” after Virat Kohli’s praise on Twitter

Aiden Markram has always been deemed as a special talent in the South African cricketing circuit and he stood tall to the faith with his recent showings against Australia. The South African opener played two brilliant innings in this series and helped South Africa gain the upper hand in them. Clearly mesmerized by the sheer footwork of the South African opener, Kohli posted words of praise for him on his Twitter account and that was enough for the Titans opener to be excited. 

‘It’s a special feeling’ Markram said in the press conference in his reply to Kohli’s tweet on his 152-run knock in the ongoing Test between South Africa and Australia. 

“There are a lot of players that I look up to who are a bit older than me and he (Kohli) is one of them. His competitiveness is something to admire and his motivation to keep scoring runs is something I’ve tried to take on board.”

Currently, South Africa are leading the series 2-1 and if the team will be able to win the fourth Test, it will be their first home Test series win post-apartheid.
