Watch: Saha leaves everyone in splits after tackling Smith to the ground

After taking Australia’s fourth wicket at 140, the Indian bowlers struggled to get any more success as Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell combined to frustrate the Indians. Smith, who completed 5,000 career Test runs, struck his second century of the series, while Maxwell, on his Test return, made a strong statement for the selectors by hitting an unbeaten half-century.

Amidst the grueling battle between the bat and ball, a funny incident left everyone in splits. In the 80th over of the day, Smith nicked a Jadeja ball but fortunately for him, the ball found its way between his legs. Funnily, Saha came towards Smith and tried to pick out the ball. While trying to retrieve the ball the duo ended up on the pitch. But the fun wasn't done yet as Saha, who still had a hand under Smith's body decided to try his luck and appeal for a wicket.

Umpire Ian Gould couldn’t control his laughter, but one man who was totally unfazed in the entire episode was Steve Smith. But, it was a much-needed break from the intense rivalry that has been marked this Border-Gavaskar series so far.
