WATCH | Aravind tries to 'kick-out' Dhoni but concedes a run

The IPL has provided fans with some hilarious moments so far with players outdoing each other's errors. After Ishant Sharma showed off his 'brilliant' footwork yesterday, it was Sreenath Aravind's turn to attempt a run out with his feet and he went a step further conceding an unwanted run.

While trying to recreate Kagiso Rabada's brilliant effort, to dismiss Harbhajan Singh by kicking the ball onto the stumps, Ishant Sharma had already made a fool of himself by kicking the ball well clear off the stumps. Now it was upto Aravind to beat the effort of his compatriot and he did it in some style.

The incident occurred on the first ball of the last over of RPS innings today, when the RCB pacer cramped Dhoni for room and hit the pads of the former Indian captain. With Dhoni trying to steal a single, Aravind made the right call in going for the ball, that had landed on the pitch, rather than waiting for a fielder to get to the ball. While this was the right decision to make, it was the last one that he made.

Getting to the crease, Dhoni had already read the bowler's intent and had stayed within touching distance of the crease. Aravind needlessly tried to kick the ball at the stumps and ended up missing the wood by a substantial margin. Adding insult to injury, Dhoni called for a single and was easily able to get the run he wanted.

Maybe, playing football is something Indians are not good at, cue our FIFA ranking, and we should just stick to the traditional way of playing cricket with our hands.
