Sunil Narine set a new record for the highest runs scored all in boundaries in the IPL. The southpaw hit 42, with nine fours and a six, while opening the batting for Kolkata Knight Riders last night, and surpassed Sanath Jayasuriya’s 36, which had six fours and two sixes, recorded in 2008.
Narine has been quite a revelation for KKR with the bat in IPL-10. Opening the innings with Gautam Gambhir, the Trinidadian has been given the license to have a go at the opposition bowlers and has made the most of it.
Last night, against Gujarat Lions, Narine's onslaught lasted just 17 deliveries. However, his effort went in vain as KKR lost by four wickets.
